Grammie, Grandpa, Santa and Abraham Lincoln

Grammie and Grandpa came to help take care of the boys during the move and to stay with us while John went back to finish his last four days of clinic in Bloomington. When John got back we were so tired of being cooped up in the house that we were eager to go on a trip. We took them to Santa Claus, IN

Writing their Christmas lists.

Grandpa wasn't really excited about going, but once we got there he had a blast! He especially the mint fudge he couldn't have.

About 2 miles away from Santa Claus is Abraham Lincoln's boyhood home where he lived from age 9 to 21. It's a very cool place to visit.

They have this trail that has 12 different stone markers. Stones that came from different places that Lincoln had been. Such as a stone from Gettysburg, The White House etc. We were all having fun and being a little silly then we came to the last stone and suddenly there was a great silence, it was the stone from the theater where he was martyred. After wards we went into the museum. Though, we had been there before we learned a lot about our President. What an amazing man. I know that he was chosen to do the work that he did. It was such a great experience to be able to take Johnny's parents there.

We really enjoyed ourselves going to Santa Claus, and the Lincoln home. It was humbling to remember what a great and noble spirit Linclon was. He surely impacted to course of our nation. Thanks Johnny and Jenette!
