Prayer

Robby has become such a good little prayer boy. He loves to pray! Often at random times of the day or when we get into the car to go somewhere he wants to say a prayer. He does really good at saying most of it himself too. We usually let him fill in the blanks, we'll say, "thankful for," and he almost always has to mention our friends Heidi, Kurt, then Heidi again!

Last week we went to the park, Robby had been playing in this little house, "making dinner." Then, lo and behold, a smoker walks right by, at a childrens play area. We live in Indiana which is one of the top 5 smoking states in the US, lucky us. Anyway, we had him go play somewhere else for awhile. Later he ran back into the house and these kids were sitting at the table. Robby automatically folded his arms and began praying out loud! It was too stinking cute! See the picture below.

Today at lunch this his how our prayer went:

Mommy "Heavenly"

Robby "faw-der"

Mommy "thankful"

Robby "thankful"

Mommy "for"

Robby "five"

We try not to laugh while he says the prayer but sometimes its too hard not too.

Josh likes it when we pray too. He will sometimes even say amen. Robby is so awesome. We miss you guys all the time!

I love it when they start to pray on their own. When Alan was little, if we forgot to say a prayer-like at lunch time or something, he'd just sit there for minutes and minutes waiting without eating or saying anything until I realized he wasn't eating because we hadn't said a prayer yet!

Awesome, that kid is a missionary already! I laughed really hard on the "for, five" part. LOL. Good thing I wasn't there. That is too cute!
