Christmas

Christmas get's more fun the older the kids get! I was bursting with excitement this year to see them so happy! A few days before Christmas Santa came to our house to "check up" on us to make sure we were being good. Here are the boys watching out the window for Santa.

Robby loved having Santa here but Nathan wanted nothing to do with him. Even when Santa gave them a little gift Nathan refused it!

On Friday before Christmas John got off work early so we went to the famous Galt House Hotel Kaleidoscope Christmas. It was really fun! Nathan did not want to leave. Here is a giant ginger bread house. All made from real food, over 1,000 lbs of frosting. All the blue on the bottom are jelly beans.

The Galt House was a lot of fun!

Robby was really worried that we didn't have a fire places for Santa to come down and bring us presants, so we made this little fireplace out of paper. Robby thought that was a great idea!

The boys made out good! Robby said "I must have been really good this year!" So cute! They're favorite gifts were a rocking horse and Frosty the Snowman stuffed animal that sings.

This year we decided to do Christmas Eve dinner instead of Christmas dinner. It was a lot of fun and helped us get more excited for Christmas. And it was a good thing we did too because around 3 Christmas day Nathan became violently ill. He was super sick to his stomach. It was really bad. Then Monday night around 9 pm Robby and Mom got it. We were up that entire night. That was seriously the sickest I have ever been in my entire life! I didn't think I'd pull out of it. I couldn't keep anything down for an entire 24 hours. Luckily, John didn't get it severe and was so nice to help Robby since I couldn't. Nothing like the stomach flu to ruin Christmas break.

Love the fire place idea. And I'm so sad to to hear you were that sick on Christmas. Glad it was only 24 hours, but I'm sure that was 24 hours too long for you.
