Nathan's Update

So we had another ultrasound done yesterday as the doctor was worried about Nathan's size being too small, she wanted to make sure he had enough fluids and that his kidney's where functioning properly. If there is not much amniotic fluid then the babies kidneys aren't functioning. Everything was just fine. He does measure on the small side, he is currently 5 1/2 lbs. placing him in the 13th percentile. Which is actually bigger than Robby, he was born in the 5th percentile.

My platelet levels continue to drop and I'm having blood drawn every week. In pregnancy your platelet levels typically drop but are suppose to be between 150 and 200 thousand. As of last week I had 110 thousand. Typically this would be thrombocytopenia but I have no other symptoms of that. The doctor said if it does go down below 100 thousand then they will send me to a hematologist and put me on steroids to try and boost my platelets.

We're hoping that my platelet levels don't drop any more as we want Nathan to come on his own. We want to experience that rush to the hospital when you realize you've gone into labor.

I told you everything would be fine. That would be fun to be there too when it happens. Anyways, just hang on a few more days and I'll be there for all the fun.
