The Brains

Here is a little update on Robby and the smart/cute things he does.


Robby loves keys. He plays with our keys all the time. He runs around the apartment saying "lock it, lock it." He tries to lock the doors and his cars. It's really cute, the other day we were out driving and he loves to go to "lab," The WonderLab that is to play, they are closed on Monday's and I was trying to explain that to him but he just told us he needed keys to unlock it. It was too cute.


Robby composed this song himself! Lately this is his favorite song, "daddy, daddy, daddy." He's also learning to count! For weeks he has been going around saying, "one, one, one." So we've been counting a lot. He's also getting better about his colors, before he would say everything was "lellow." Now he at least knows that brown and green are colors too, though he still doesn't get the right color to the right object but that's ok.

He is still having a hard time with bed. Last week he was doing better, he was only getting out once a night and going back to sleep quickly. So we thought we were making progress then the last four nights he has been up four to five times during the night! It's almost worse than when he was a new born.

Robby has been making potty progress! We haven't been pushing the issue because we wanted him to get used to his bed first but he has been taking the lead. It has really been bothering him when he is wet or dirty. Often he'll tell us, before he actually goes in his diaper, "potty, potty, " and does a little dance so we rush off to the bathroom. Sometimes we'll be in the car or at the store and he tells us he has to go. So we're going to start on a potty schedule next week!
