2nd Date

Last night Jenette and I got to go on our second date...since Robby's been born. Dr. Grossman, whom I work for had a Christmas party at his luxurious million plus dollar home. It was a lot of fun and his house was gigantic and beautifully decorated. His son Rex Grossman plays for the Houston Texans in the NFL, and placed second in Heisman voting for 2001. They had a Heisman plaque on the wall with signatures of most of the recent recipients of the award. There were other cool trophies as well; like the Florida Gators NCAA national championship trophy, and his Indiana High School MVP trophy which I mistook for the Heisman (it looks exactly like it). I just now (while working on this post) found out that he didn't win the Heisman. Anyway, everyone was drinking, but only a couple girls were drunk. The food was delicious, and they hired a guy to play Christmas music on his guitar. We only stayed for 2 hours then had to go. When we were leaving they were starting their gingerbread house making contest in the garage. The people participating worked in teams and wore birthday looking hats. It would have been hilarious to see the two drunk girls attempt to do this.
This is the cake Jenette made for the party. It was a chocolate cake with peppermint flavored buttercream filling and peppermint flavored fondant. Everyone was really impressed that my wife had made it and they didn't want to cut it because it was so pretty, so I had to cut it.
The picture is a little dark, but maybe you can see Robby on the right side. You can tell this kids loves cake! We brought him home a piece. Thank you Jake and Brenda for watching him.

No, the other Jenny(spelled with a y) is Jenette's friend. She doesn't know Jenettes recipe.
