Summer 2007

So we were looking through our old pictures and found these. Jenette is an amazing photographer! We wish there were cool mountains in the midwest like there are out west. The top picture is of Mt. Shuksan an hour away from Bellingham, Washington. The park information says that the middle glacier on that mountain is 300 feet thick!!! Even more unbelievable is the fact that we took these pictures on AUGUST 5! The second picture is of Mt. Baker which is just a little further up the road. The road had just been opened a week earlier when they plowed off the remaining snow that hadn't yet melted by the end of July! Mt. Baker also holds the world record for snowfall. Over 96 FEET (thats right, feet not inches) of snow fell in 2002 there!

The snow came from all this global warming we're having. Soon we'll be flooded like Birmingham.
