Apple Picking

The best thing about living in this valley is of course, the apples! There is a family in our ward that has a 10 acre orchard as a hobby. We've been able to go twice, once for Johnagolds and once for Fuji apples. This family says, that due to the high temps this summer apples are going to be more expensive and they felt bad about asking for 30 cents a pound! We have picked over 60 pounds of apples. What a deal! I can't believe it. Yakima Valley actually produces most of the worlds apples, I saw a staticstic once but couldn't find it again. When we were in Mexico the apples we bought at the market actually had Washington stickers on them! Anyways- here are some pictures from their lovely orchard!
