Baby #3 Well On It's Way

As some of you may have heard baby number 3 is well on it's way, due the day before it's daddy's birthday Nov. 27.

I'm normally a very private person but since I've heard a lot of talk I want to set things right. Yes, we didn't tell anyone about baby number 3 for a long time for a few reasons. The first being it was a complete surprise to us to find out, mostly since we had just gotten to Mexico and hadn't planned on having another for a while. Another reason I didn't tell anyone was because I wasn't able to get into a doctor until I was 14 weeks along, we visited Washington before my doctors appointment and didn't want to tell anyone since we didn't even know if the baby had a heart beat etc.

We recently had an ultrasound, the doctor wasn't able to officially tell if it was a boy or girl, he said in a hurry, "Well it looks more like girl parts than boy" and wrote on my transfer paperwork that I was having a girl. This made me mad! There are things you are suppose to find. So for now, this baby is going to be a surprise to the end! Especially since I can't be seen by my new doctor until John's work starts so I can be on insurance.

Another reason we didn't tell anyone about our pregnancy is because when I had Nathan, Baby boy #2, some people said some very hurtful things to me about having two boys, that he wasn't a girl. Nathan only received gifts from 3 people, my mom, my sister and my good friend. Not that the gifts count, but a nice card or email would have been nice. I've always tried to be thoughtful and sent gifts to all the new babies on both sides of the family, and I do try hard to remember everyone's birthdays. Because of the comments and lack of even acknowledging that I had a baby made me upset with myself for not having had a girl. I thought that if Nate had been a girl maybe family would have treated me nicer and showed that they cared. I'm over it now so don't worry if you were one of those people or not, but please stop telling me that I "HAVE" to have a girl. If I have a girl that would be great, we'd be happy. If I have a boy, that would be great, we'd be happy too. Ultimately it's up to Heavenly Father what my babies gender is. I used to feel sad for others I've known who only have boys or only have girls. But truth is, my boys are my best friends. They always have been and always will be. They share such a special bond and always look up and stand up for each other. I love that! I have two of the most special spirits and we're happy to have another enter our home, no matter what it's gender may be.

And as far as how many children I want, I don't know, I like to take it one at a time! Frankly the low plateletes thing and getting my blood drawn every time I go to the doctors office sucks! And being a very personal person I wouldn't tell anyone but my husband how many kids I want. And since this one was a complete surprise, it's ultimatly up to Heavenly Father anyways. So please, nobody get mad at me for not telling anyone because to me it's a personal subject.

So please be happy for us that we get another opportunity to bring one of Heavenly Fathers special spirits into the world.

I'm not picking out anyone in particular these are just things I've heard and felt over the last few months, so please, don't take anything personal. We love you all and can't wait for you to meet the newest McGiffin.

I was actually heart broken when I found out Ethan was a boy....I thought that D bag would turn him against me etc. but Ethan is my lil bud and I could never have the relationship i do with anyone else but him. So grateful I had a boy! Heavenly Father will send you whatever he sees fit. Hope the rest of your prego goes well.

As soon as you find out what your having, then I'll know if I am going be a Grandpa or a Grandma. LOL jut some humor. (which is my department). Your boys touch my heart and love them very. The time I have gotten to spend with them and you & John since I retired has been a great joy and experience. We really would have loved to come out when Nate was born but work and money stopped us from it. Love Dad

Well I hope I've never given you the impression that I wasn't completely happy for you. You have two very special boys and I am grateful for their sweet spirits. My father-in-law comes from a family of five boys and they have such a wonderful family.....and in the end, you have just as many boys as girls if they all get married. Family is an amazing thing. Each family has a special bond and is truly given to us by Heavenly Father.

I hope you know that I love you and your family very much and I am so excited for the new addition to your family!

Oh Jenette, hang in there!! I really hope I wasn't someone that made you feel bad. We love your sweet little boys, and I totally understand why you didn't tell people. I remember I didn't tell people I was pregnant with number 3for a long time because people here in the south were so rude about me having my first two close together. I'm sorry you're feeling bad about things. Your right, your family is between you and Johnny and the Lord. We love you, and are so glad you're part of our family!! I was SOOO happy that you made it to the reunion, I felt like we knew you the most, and it was nice to see you.

Jenette, I am catching up on blogs and I was so excited to read your news. Congratulations!! I have sometimes noticed that little boys are treated differently amongst family members - BUT I love my little boys and I am thankful to have three. :) I am excited to hear the news about boy or girl. Take care!!

I'm sorry you felt hurt after your 2nd boy, but I can totally relate. It doesn't really matter what others think though, does it. I'm happy for you and excited you will have another beautiful baby to hold. I will have 4 boys, people always ask me if I'm going to try for a girl or if I'm disappointed that I don't have a girl. At first I was a little, but you know what I'm glad I have my boys and there is a reason that the Lord gave me these boys and no girls. So no matter what your baby is they are ment to be in your family and the Lord knows what he is doing. Good luck with the platelet issue you are facing, I have to deal with a platelet issue as well but I think its different. I can relate to it not being fun. Hold your head up and don't let what others say bother you, you can do it.
