San Miguel de Allende

A few weeks ago, John had a day off, so we took a tour bus to San Miguel de Allende. It was only 150 pesos an adult, which was way cheaper than taking a regular bus. It made for a long day for the boys, but we had fun.

This is their most famous church La Parroquila, it was built in 1555. It was a beauitful building.

Robby bored on the tour.

We also stopped in Delores Hildago. It's a little town, that's known for their ice cream, they had avadado, tequila, shrimp and even pork rind ice cream....needless to say we did not try it!

We also stopped at some cemetery, this is some guys graves, I think he was a famous painter, not really sure. Pretty elaborate though, the kids loved playing on it.

It's funny, there are not very many members in this part of Mexico, but every once in a while you find some LDS art in the shops. We've even seen a guy wearing a BYU shirt, John asked him if he went to school there and the he had no idea it was even a school. Too funny!
